Lord (Buddha), make me an instrument of your peace    

主啊、讓我當您的和平工具

Where there is hatred, let me sow love    哪裡有仇恨、讓我播撒愛

Where there is injury, pardon    哪裡有損傷、原諒

Where there is doubt, faith    哪裡有疑惑、信仰

Where there is despair, hope    哪裡有絕望、希望

Where there is darkness, light    哪裡有黑暗、光明

Where there is sadness, joy.    哪裡有悲傷、歡喜

O Divine Master (Buddha) , grant that I may not so much

Seek to be consoled as to console

To be understood as to understand

To be loved as to love.

神聖的主啊、讓我能安慰他人、不求被他人安慰

能了解他人、而不求被了解

能愛惜他人、而不求被愛惜

For it is in giving that we receive

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned

And it is in dying (of ego) that we are born to eternal life.

因為、我們要付出、才能收到

我們要寬怒、才能被原諒

我們的自我「要死」、才能誕生於「永恆的生命」
